Re: Problem with power supply

Everything has been working fine for a week but now I get these messages again. Can somebody confirm another transformer will solve this problem? Your timeline does not show any power saving mode messages, but I am not sure this always is the case. Guess you are running firmware 71 ? When does this...

Curious if this solved your problems ?

Re: How is the chime module triggered?

The chime module is a "smart resistor". If nobody is pressing the doorbell the chime module acts as a resistor. This means the current is drawn through the resistor to power the doorbell. Without chime module, all the current would be drawn through the chime and it would constantly ring. I...

Re: Problem with power supply

@EdK - You are right. The new timeline you have added clearly shows a power shortage. The bare minimum for the doorbell is 8V 1A. Did you check that ? If that that is ok, a long distance / long wires from transformer to the doorbell could be a problem. Better will be a transformer of 8V 2A, or even ...

Re: Problem with power supply

@Edk you could try bringing your WiFi access point closer to the doorbell to at least check if the doorbell picks up the signal then. With an earlier firmware version I did experience that the doorbell did not automatically reconnect after being disconnected. Cutting the power for about a minute or ...

EdK wrote: 10 Oct 2020, 17:34 Same problem here!
When I look at your screenprint of the messages on your timeline it does not show any low battery / energy saving messages. My guess is that your problem is a weak WiFi signal. You can see the signal strength in the app.

The Netatmo chime module should be connect to T0 and F3 for the D117. Same as for the D103.

Re: Buzzing and vibrating chime

By the looks of it I already have 8V 1A transformer That part seems to be fine. (Although 8V 1A is the real minimum and influenced by the distance of transformer to the netatmo doorbell). As netatmo measures if your doorbell gets enough power at the initial installation, you would have heard if tha...
