Bumping this as is the killer feature that is missing.
Suggested elsewhere even if the only available modes are toggle on/off, surely these could be 'mapped' to different modes within the Netatmo app. E.g. if homekit says thermostat off, set to away mode.

If you go into the thermostat temperature dial in the Home app, there should be an orange circle below it. This is the togge button, in the case of the thermostat between off and on. I believe there is also protocol for cooling, heating, off and on depending on what you're controlling.
If temperature has been reached at the valve and nothing else is calling for heat, it makes more sense that the valves just instruct the boiler to turn off, and not close the valve? If the boiler comes on again at a later point and the room with the valve(s) are already warm, at that point the valve...
Digging up an old post... as the Netatmo app doesn't natively support geofencing, utilising Homekit for this would be really useful and (I'm assuming) straightforward to implement in a better way.
