Re: install rele in place of old thermostat

I don't see any problem with that at all. You are basically just following the instructions for connecting the relay to the boiler but instead you are making use of the existing wires from the boiler to where your old thermostat used to be. I don't think the relay has fittings to connect it directly...

Re: Only one control wire? Help connecting Netatmo.

A quick search and I found a datasheet for your current thermostat :-
http://www.avolta.de/avolta_web/de/docu ... /tr231.pdf

Looking at its wiring diagram when it switches on it connects the live to the output.
So you would just need to connect the live and output to the Netatmo.

Re: Forcing thermostat to "relearn" and deleting measurement

The first columb looks like a unix epoch. Basically that is the number of seconds since 1st jan 1970. So you have :-

unix epoch
time&date
actual temperature
set temperature
seconds the boiler was on since last reading
seconds the boiler was off since last reading

Feature request: Better operation when Internet fails

When my internet connection failed today heating prediction did not work. I have two feature requests :- 1. When Internet fails have the thermostat fall back to an internal prediction system. The servers can work out a typical heat rise per hour and update the thermostat so it can use this if Intern...

Re: Heating prediction failed today

Thanks. That does seem a poor way of doing it though. I would have thought the servers would calculate the average temperature rise per hour based on the current house and outside temperature and update the thermostat. It would then be easy for the thermostat to calculate when to turn on. That way i...

Heating prediction failed today

I have the heating set to be 19C by 6:30pm. Today I got home to find the heating on but the house at 14C. Looking at the temperature graphs the Netatmo deecided to turn the heating on at 6pm which is way too late. Normally it needs to turn the heating around 4:30pm. There was a fault with the intern...

Re: How to update relay / thermostat firmware

It will update itself automatically as long as the relay is configured to connect to your home wifi.

Re: Netatmo - Brötje

A better picture of the circuit diagram would probably help. Most of it on your earlier picture is unreadable.

Re: Disable relay in thermostat

The clicking can be a bit distracting though as it is relatively loud.

If would be nice for example if a future version had a switch which would disable the relay.
