Re: Anemometer Update!

If an outdoor weather device is not weatherproof, sounds like a recall is required. Of course, I'm not certain how Netatmo would notify customers of the recall. Probably the same way they do firmware updates, or actually NOT do firmware updates, since my devices apparently have not been updated to f...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Definitely a flaw in the anemometer design or a software bug. It is a serious problem here in southern Arizona. Of course, now that 100F days are coming to an end for this year, I expect the frequency of bogus wind readings to decrease.

Re: Anemometer Update!

Just in time for the high temperatures to be gone. As I noted previously, the bogus wind values would occur at temps >100F.

Re: Anemometer Update!

Still seeing bogus wind values at air temps >100F. Firmware v17. Guess Netatmo has become too fragmented with too many other products to fix serious Wind Gauge issues.

Re: Anemometer Update!

Hope Netatmo releases a fix before the Summer is over. These bogus wind gusts at high temperatures (at my elevation of 4380') are erroneous and annoying. http://www.weasner.com/weather/Wind_vs_Temp_062216.jpg Without a fix, this issue puts the Netatmo Wind Gauge in the toy category and not the serio...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Another bogus wind "gust" of 53 MPH today: http://www.weasner.com/weather/Bogus_Wind_Gust_061916.jpg Wind was pretty calm but the temp was 99F and climbing. Wind Gauge firmware still at 17. Still seems like Netatmo does not properly handle air density changes at high temperatures at elevat...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Still seeing the bogus wind gust readings every day when the air temperature is >100F. Did someone at Netatmo forget about air density at high temperatures and elevations of 4400'? Or is the Wind Gauge not spec-ed to be accurate over 100F and at higher elevations?

Re: Anemometer Update!

Apparently the Wind Gauge was never tested under high temperatures. I'm seeing bogus wind readings as the temperature goes over 100F. Indoor module firmware = 124, Wind module firmware = 17.

Re: Anemometer Update!

My new Wind Gauge has been up for less than two weeks. Have already had two known data dropouts where it disappears for hours. Also seeing Rain Gauge dropouts since installing the Wind Gauge. Never saw that prior to adding the Wind Gauge. I am in a rural area so nearby radio interference is unlikely...
