Re: Weatherproofing

. ..and more than qualified to understand the dynamics of the unit . your design prove the opposite in this case. the open coffin design may looks fancy for the I-toys sporting crowd, but IMHO worthless protection wise ...at least in my neck of the wood with heavy showers, gusts and a precipi...

Re: CO2 won't drop below 530ppm

OK, finally got a reading of 406ppm, though it jumps back up to 500-600ppm if the window isn't left wide open, and there is someone in another room, and to 1000ppm when there is someone in the same room for an hour or so. Seems too sensitive, but I can't know for sure. you can do a rough estimate c...

Re: Firmware update with battery support for main station

well, its just my educated guess: I think the power drain from the batteries is to strong and Netatmo want them to last long enuf for the customer to find this kind of operation the module convenience and worth the year-summed-up batteries cost . btw: did some user around here in the forum know/read...

Re: Water temperature sensor

Yes :!: I opt for an general outdoor-withstanding Temp-sensor module (same housing, without the humidity function) which comes with a Temperature-Probe on a 1.5m - 2.5 m long sturdy chemical-resistant electrical-cord attached, so the customer can place the Temp-Probe inside the medium he likes to mo...

Re: Outdoor sensor range more limited with low temps?

Hi mla Batteries (not only those lead–acid 'batteries' used in cars) lose capacity when they get cold. *Warning, Physics ahead ;-)* The movability of the ions in fluid is a function of temperature. Here is a test-report for AA and AAA cells comparison operation at 21°C and 0°C in German language: ht...

Re: Weatherproofing

- update - 5.2.2013 The North West German weather just didn't want gave me a chance for the sensor to dry, so i decided on the 29.1. to get the sensor inside and placed it next to the indoor-sensor. The humidity reading stayed at 100 % for 2 hours (a indication that the sensor was soaked long before...

Re: Ouside humidity locked to 100%

I was fighting with the same issue my sensor is mounted on the the northern face of a wooden garden shed under an overhanging roof, so no rain from above, but i wouldn't guarantee that gusts don't blowing rain horizontal from the side still may have soaked the sensor. also it should be taken into ac...
