Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computa

I too am a bit unhappy with the predictive aspect of the thermostat which now wants to start heating my house about 4 hours before I get up in the morning. I installed the thermometer when our weather was quite mild - around 10 to 15 degrees. Now we are down to 0 temperatures at night. That is why I...

Re: Forcing thermostat to "relearn" and deleting measurement

Thanks for that information.

So does anyone know what the result will be if I delete the existing measurements? WIll the the system start learning again from the start?

Forcing thermostat to "relearn" and deleting measurements

I am trying to force my thermostat to relearn since it has started to put my boiler on at 5 in the morning to be ready for 8am – in fact the house takes less than an hour to get warm. First I tried just switching to the Hysterisis algorithm but the boiler still came on early. Now I have switched pre...

Relevance of Home Size to prediction

When setting up the thermostat we are asked for type of house and home size in square meters. I assume that this has some bearing on the performance of the predictive schedule, but if so, then at the moment this doesnt seem to be working in my case. Firstly I would have though size should be measure...

Re: Wiring for old Sunvic/ Satchwell thermostat

Thanks Finally got round to installing the new thermostat today, following your supportive advice above, and so far so good. As it happens we are experiencing a very mild December here, so haven't really had a chance to put it to the test yet! I really was in two minds about going ahead, because of ...

Wiring for old Sunvic/ Satchwell thermostat

I have an old Satchel (now Sunvic) TLX 2356 thermostat - very common in the UK but has been in my house at least 35 years. I am now hoping to replace it. IMG_0664.jpeg There are three wires - presume I should isolate the blue wire and connect the yellow and red, but I am not sure. IMG_0644 copy.jpg ...
