Re: HOMEKIT Compatibility for old relay
No, on the french forum they state the old thermostats will never be homekit compatible. This seems to be the french way of doing business. I don't care that much about homekit, but the fact that Netatmo simply has lied to me about this matter, before I bought the thermostat, I don't like at all. Ha...

Re: HOMEKIT Compatibility for old relay
Just telling you that the only way to operate an homekit based system is the authentication chip. This chip is called MFI. Is there a MFI chip in previous version of thermostat? No. PERIOD. Netatmo is wrong in not wanting to give us this simple and definitive information. Every update rumor is tras...

Re: HOMEKIT Compatibility for old relay
Maybe my bad english did it look that way, but I wasn't trying to attack you. I also know a lot about technology, this is why I was afraid Apple would require new hardware and I tried to inform myself about this. I feel like Netatmo willingly misinformed their customers to sell more thermostats. I c...

Re: HOMEKIT Compatibility for old relay
Homekit for previous version of thermostat (blue light blinking) is simply no possible and it'll never be. There is no MFI chip installed for Homekit authentication procedure. That's all folks. This information must have been available by Netatmo for a long time and still they spread tbe update rum...

Re: HOMEKIT Compatibility for old relay
I also would like it if Netatmo communicated better with their customers. Now I feel this was my last Netatmo purchase. I like their products, but I feel they lack communication skills. I asked about the homekit support before buying it. They gave me the idea the old product would get it with a soft...

Why does he need to do that when an homekit firmware update for the old thermostats is in the make?

Re: Apple Homekit
Make of that what you will... Thanks for confirming, Now I know it is not the fault of my bad english, I could not find it :-) I found some french sites that say there will be an update, but I can't find an official message from Netatmo anywhere, which is a real shame. I am new here, so I can be wr...
