Re: Why isn't the Presence Cam IP65? Covered holes solution

Thanks. So that does confirm one of my earlier posts that a camera mounted upside down is vulnerable to water and depends totally on the grease in and around the SD slot to stay operational. It is therefore not totally waterproof. Not saying it’s a problem merely that it would be helpful to point th...

Re: Why isn't the Presence Cam IP65? Covered holes solution

If it is IP65 why do we need to put grease in and around the SD card slot?

Re: Dead outdoor module

Send it back and get a new one. Support did this very efficiently for me. Also when you get your new one, once you have configured it ask Netatmo to reinstate your old data from the previous module, they also did this very efficiently for me.

Re: Water problem if mounting upside down?

Have a look at this thread. https://forum.netatmo.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=9741#p50315 Upside feels a bit dodgy to me as there are holes all over the underside of the camera, presumably for cooling, and you will be relying on the grease in and around the SD card to keep the card dry. However I am su...

Re: Top-mount instead of wall mount

If you do mount it upside down make sure it is protected from rain as you will see a lot of holes in the underside of the light. That is where the SD card slot is positioned. Right way up and facing slightly down gravity ensures that rain can’t get in there. Upside down it can and the only thing bet...

Re: Turning Presence light on with switch

Not sure why you would need this as you can turn turn the light on and off, and adjust the brightness, in the app. So when full connection to HomeKit etc is available you will be able to turn the light in and off at will. I have to say if you need it on for some reason it is no hardship to turn it o...

Re: Outside data lost when replacing outside sensor?

Mark I have just replaced my outdoor module which was draining batteries with a new sent free of charge by Netatmo. Replacement is fine, but, like you, all earlier data now missing. I have sent a message to support but it would be nice to know what they said and did for you when they restored your d...

Re: New camera- won't setup

If you have dual band wifi check that it is trying to connect to the 2.4GHz band not the 5GHz band Welcome only works on 2.4 GHz
