Re: Individual Valve Schedules

You cannot group the valves, but it's easy to reach this task. I use this scheme: 00 - 05 05 - 07 07-19 19-21 21-00 == Night mode = = Wake up time = = Wholeday = = Baby sleeping time = = Night mode = Childsroom - 17° | 22° | 22° | 19° | 17° Living room - 17° | 22° | 22° | 22° | 17° Bathroom - 17° | ...

Re: Condensing boilers - a discussion

I am not expert in heating, but this is what my brainalyzer tells me :) 1) No doubts, say 10% of the heat energy isnt used, so only 90% of fuel energy is used for heating 2) Reduced water temperature means boiler will use 100% fuel energy for heating. I'd only expect longer heating times in this cas...

Re: Boiler Control - Relay or Thermostat?

If youre replacing older instalation, then you propably have something like older thermostat in reference room with cables attached. If you use relay as the boiler switch, you can mount it there and have thermostat movable. If you use thermostat for switching boiler, then you are free to place relay...

Re: [Guide]Valve teardown guide

This is the design issue that killed my valve. IMG_20181014_1206168.jpg The valve on my radiator wasnt leaking bad or anything like that. It was just slowly (and by slowly i mean like one drop after few minutes) dripping, but if you mount smart valve with display facing upwards, then the PCB is on ...

Re: [Guide]Valve teardown guide

Time to GENTLY remove the glued e-ink display. You have to be super carefull as the glue sticks quite well and you dont wanna broke the display nor the flex cable powering it. IMG_20181014_1203132.jpg If needed, you can now remove the e-ink display from PCB. It's just matter of prying the holder on ...

Re: [Guide]Valve teardown guide

You can now slide the outside shell from the bottom cover of the valve. No big deal happening. IMG_20181014_1206168.jpg Underneath top cover there is circuit board with controller motor held by two screws. Time to start being carefull as there is flex cable with e-ink display connected. Hello guys. As i struggled to teardown valve in time because my radiator valve was dripping into smart valve electronics and the valve is dead now, i tried my wasted money to something actually usefull and created this guide for you. Maybe it saves you couple of bucks when i was out of luck. So, let...
