Re: Replacing Danfoss TP5E Thermostat

Hi there, I see no problems with what you are proposing. I was planning to just replace the wall stat with the Netatmo and plug the relay in to a nearby wall socket. This should work fine. See this Netatmo video for confirmation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm_ELxzOfw0 Is it OK just to replace w...

Re: Outside Temperature

Good point TypeC, I believe, although I could be wrong, that Netatmo uses the Geo-location of Apple's and Google's geo wifi database, to determine approximate location, but this is as only as good as the latest updates, and can easily be in error, if for example someone moves an access point. Certai...

Re: Problem with thermostat and Outdoor temperature

Hi there,

I had a similar problem and tried various solutions like you, but in the end it was the IP addresses that needed changing.

Please see the thread below.

Hope it helps and let the forum know how you get on, so that others can learn.

Re: Outside Temperature

Hi Neil,

You are welcome.

Re: Outside Temperature

Good morning Neil,

Yes you are correct, it works very well, and it is is done automatically, either by using the outside temperature of your Netatmo weather station if you have one, or by using weather data if you don't. You need do nothing.

Hope this helps.

Re: Newbie question, heating starting time and PID

Hi there, You are welcome. The PID function tells you when it is ready. Both my Android app and the Web Page both told me (asked me the question when just routinely checking the temperature) that it was ready and asked whether I wanted to switch it on. This happened only after about 1 week. You can ...

Re: Newbie question, heating starting time and PID

Hi there, The answer to your question: If it's a matter of waiting for the PID to be ready, I will wait while freezing in the morning, just want to make sure it's worth waiting. Is Yes. It will learn over time the heating inertia (time it takes to heat up according to outside temperature, type of bu...

Re: Connect to Junkers euroline

Hi there, Yes there would be no problem in doing what you suggest - blue to blue and brown to brown - just make sure that you properly make the connections (suggest a block connector) and properly insulate this to avoid short circuits. The remaining two black and grey wires to LR and Ls on the boile...

Re: Connect to Junkers euroline

Hi there, I am not familiar with the Junkers Euroline, and cannot find any manuals in English. Before doing anything, as always, make sure the power is isolated at the main consumer unit and switched off to the Boiler and all heating equipment whilst working on the connections, and if in doubt consu...

Re: Configuration Problems Connection Problems

Hi there, As far as I am aware, the Netatmo station filter will filter out any stations where the data is markedly / significantly different to piers / local stations nearby. This could be caused by inaccurate data, say for example the thermometer is placed in a location where it is too warm, for ex...
