Re: Anemometer Update!

Hmm .. valid point. Admittedly I haven't got a clue about their architecture and how they distribute firmware updates. I more or less assumed they distributed firmware over the RF connection they use to communicate with the remote sensors but now you mention it, the RF connection doesn't necessarily...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Agreed, this is a bit worrying. Did you compare your own values with a different windmeter you own? It would be easier when you compare your own values to another windmeter at your own location than trying to compare it to a nearby station. I'm almost tempted to buy another (handheld) windmeter just...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Calibration is a mater of having a known comparable value. How can you remotely calibrate an anemometer sitting on a roof of somebody? Calibration on measurement instruments can only be happen in laboratories with comparable environmental conditions. And of course having a calibrated measurement in...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Those Amazon reviews are full of users who complain about too low wind speed levels. Anyone got the same experience? But isn't that a matter of asking support to recalibrate your values just as one has to do with the air pressure? I know that it's a bit hard to now with what value to calibrate with...

Re: Mail from Netatmo "someone has logged into your account

Same here. I've got a Raspberry Pi doing uploads to the MetOffice's Wow server and every 10 minutes I get a mail saying the Wow-uploader has logged into my account. Thanks to Raisch's tip I've disabled the setting. This should solve it. (I'd already setup a mail rule that deleted the mails automatic...

Re: Server issues

I've experienced the same thing. Updates on the server are quite irregular but when they occur, all 5-minute datapoints are available. I've also got a webcam which I can access through my internet router so I know the connection is up and running. And even while knowing this I moved the indoor unit ...
