Re: Anemometer Update!

I'm using height above the ground, not height above the roof. I am not sure about this. As far as I understand the theory behind this, your roof is the ground. I have set it as the roof being 0m. So, if it is 2m above the roof, but the roof is 10m high, I enter 2m, not 12m ... But only if there are...

Re: Anemometer Update!

@gavinfabl - Don't you think that your readings are false? It looks strange on your wind chart and seems impossible that average wind is almost 100 mph, while the nearest station in Princetown shows max 45 mph: http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=IPRINCET2 Yes I'm begi...

99mph! You're lucky it's still attached! How do you have it mounted?

Re: Anemometer Update!

@neve Have you updated to the latest firmware? Knock on wood/fingers crossed etc. it seems to have fixed my issues with unreliable/missing data. "Calibrating" the height also seems to have made my readings more exacting to a local station. **Edit** Details of the 115 firmware are now listed here: ht...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Spashing of raindrops inside the area of the windmeter is maybe an issue that is causing the problem. Netatmo make a big deal pointing out that we shouldn't touch the sensors as this can cause issues with readings and even calibration. However, these sensors are very exposed (need to be to read the...

Re: Anemometer Update!

I got home and my station had already updated to the latest firmware. Hopefully this will fix the connection dropouts. I also "calibrated" it. I calculated it's just short of 1m above the roof and the roof is 6m high so set it to 6.92. Let's see if that changes the readings. To be honest, they were ...

Re: Anemometer Update!

Ticket submitted. Automated reply says "Please note that at this year’s end, our response time is longer than usual. We are really sorry and be sure that we are doing our best to give you an answer as soon as possible." Interestingly, while the website shows a data void during the outage in my post ...
