Re: ANYBODY HERE?

I've had replies to my questions, emailing support.

They apologised for the delay (about 7 days).

I guess it's not the best time of year to expect tech support 24/7? The UK closes down this week - France as well?

Re: Is anyone satisfied with their anemometer / wind gauge?

I really can't see it functioning with snow and ice, but maybe a very low power heating coil would cure that potential problem?

As we're using it at an airfield, for light aircraft, it doesn't make much difference, as we're not going to be flying anyway in those conditions....

Netatmo User Manual?

I've got a dozen (or more) routine questions on the Netatmo weather station, inc. wind gauge, video camera etc.

Rather than clog up the forum with these basic queries, is there a comprehensive online manual available?

If so, I'd appreciate a link.

Thanks.

Re: Barometer accuracy query

I don't know the logic of the pressure readings we're measuring. It could be (and only Netatmo can tell us) that the readings we are getting are actual pressure readings at the measuring site. That makes logical sense. But they aren't corrected for altitude of the observing station (possible, but un...

Re: Is anyone satisfied with their anemometer / wind gauge?

That's really interesting, and many thanks for the details. One thing to take into account is that 'official' airfield wind measurement instruments (in Europe, at least) should be permanently located at 10m above ground level, and there is quite a marked difference at a lower height due to surface f...

Is anyone satisfied with their anemometer / wind gauge?

I realise that satisfied users of the anemometer are, in general, unlikely to post on the forum. However, as a recent purchaser (it's en route to me while I write) I'd be very interested to know whether there are any totally satisfied users of this instrument? The negative feedback and queries are d...

Anemometer readout?

I'm still waiting for my Wind Gauge to arrive.

Is the display of info from this instrument just speed (km, mph, kts etc.) and just an approximate indication of direction by an arrow?

Or is it possible to see the direction in degrees? (i.e. 45° instead of NE or just an inaccurate arrow)
