Home coach vs weather station

Post by ironmathyu5 » 25 Jul 2020, 18:18

Looking to buy a home coach or weather station but don't really know what to choose for my needs. I'm looking for something to monitor the interior temperature and air quality primarily. I see that both products do this. My question is whether both of them can be integrated with Apple Home kit and in the future allow me to create automations based on temperature or air quality.

How does the interior module of the weather station differs from the home coach?

Also I live in an apartment building and it is difficult to install the outdoor weather module to meet the manufacturer recommendations (not in direct sunlight).

Take a look here:

There are some feature differences mentioned.
Over all the Weather Station gives more possibilities, but make sure to get a V3 or V4 as only those are Homekit compatible.
Home:Weather Station (V3 + Rain Gauge, Wind Gauge, 3 additional Indoor Modules), Valves Starter Pack + 5 additional Valves, Smart Video Doorbell
Office: Thermostat (V2), Healthy Home Coach, Smart Smoke Alarm
