I'm not sure it's the same problem, but I changed batteries 7 days ago and one bar is already missing.
Before that, batteries lasted more than 2 years. High quality alkaline batteries is used.

I had the same issue. Apparently it is a bad capacitor on the pcb, but I didn't find yet which one needs to be replaced. My module V2 purchased in March 2016 lasted for about a year before, now I had to change batteries every month. See my logs form 2020 vs 2021

Here is my modification from just yesterady. I added a solar panel and this small NiMH charger board which hopefully will keep the battery (re)charged. It fits in the enclosure :) I just need more time to see how it works out.

Yep, another bar disappeared in less than a week. If there is no solution for the problem, it's goodbye for me. Shame, it is a good product (at least on paper), but excessive battery consumption is definitely a dealbreaker.

Yes it is a good product with high accuracy and resolution. However, the power consumption is obviously very high for a number of individual devices probably after a while of usage. In my case with two outdoor modules it has happened after 1 respectively 1.5 year.
Thorough drying and cleaning does not restore normal battery consumption.
I am sorry to say that Netatmo does not meet customer expectations in this matter.
Thank you id001 for the very clear graphs showing the very high and unexpected increase in current consumption. This cannot be ignored by Netatmo without diminished goodwill.

+1
The original set of batteries lasted a full year. Since then it's degrading fast...very fast. The second set lasted 3 months. At the moment (4th set after replacing the original batteries in April 2021) the battery drain is about 4-5% per day. Always used premium batteries (Duracell extra and optimum, to be used before 2031) Netatmo service is non existent. Mailed them but never got an answer. After I've used the batteries I'll disconnect this module.
