I find it simply astonishing IFTTT isn't right at the top of their list of priorities; making what is currently a rather passive device more configurable has to be a very strong selling point for potential buyers, and likely to generate a lot of column inches in the 'how to do X' blogs and forums.

While you can currently set plenty of triggers for warnings within the Netatmo software, you can't configure the alert sounds per trigger (perhaps a louder warning as temperature approaches freezing) or even change the sound for all warnings. Making a high CO2 level trigger a Belkin WeMo switch attached to an extractor fan, for example, would be a really practical use for something that's currently not much more than a fun toy.

IFTTT or something very much like it is going to be very big news in the next couple of years as more connected devices appear. It would be a shame for a device with really obvious applications like the Netatmo to miss the boat so spectacularly...

I agree with above statement, but in the meantime, as suggested by 'ondy' if Netatmo could send an email when a measured value is above a threshold, that would be a way to get around the integration of Netatmo as a IFTTT channel.
Indeed, IFTTT can trigger actions based on received email.
Therefore Netatmo needs to be able to trigger an email when a value is above a threshold with a user defined subject (title of the email) to a user defined recipient.
That would just do it.

Would it be possible to have threshold triggered emails which would allow an IFTTT interface?

Another way for users would be to transform the Netatmo notifications into emails but I did not find such an app on the Android market.

Good news ! IFTTT is up and running with Netatmo !

My first action was to create recipes to change or blink the color of Philips Hue Lights depending on CO2 and Temperature thresholds...

Many thanks to the Netatmo team :D !

Yes, excellent.
I can now drive my WeMos (well when they work as these devices have been poorly designed).

Hi,

I have just tried to set up a recipe with Netatmo and the Philips Hue - but I can't get it to work.

I get the error "could not verify which station" for Netatmo when trying to create or update a recipe. Both my indoor stations appeared correctly before when setting up the recipe though. Any ideas?

Best regards

I will start using IFTTT next week (not at home now). I let you know of the outcome.

I tried a simple recipe.
If the inside temperature goes below a value then send a message. That recipe is working. I will try this week to trigger a WeMo switch action . But I recommend you also try a similar simple recipe.
