Re: FAQ: All you need to know about firmware upgrades

I have the Netatmo anemometer and it was pushed to FW 14 AUTOMATICALLY (from previous 11). I didn't ask for it. So the latest official firmware for the anemometer would be 14, plus the module firmware was pushed, automatically too, to 119. I think all this happened on February 1st (yesterday). I have asked for no push and I mention this because at the beginning of this thread it mentions that the latest official firmware for the anemometer is 11. This doesn't seem to be correct according to what happened to the update I had yesterday in my Netatmo station.

After upgrading to 119 my weather station stopped reporting to the Netatmo map and weather undergound. I have checked my settings and they are set to contribute to the Netatmo map. Any ideas?

I found the problem. The firmware upgrade had removed my address from the device and it was displayed on the map miles away. I have reentered my address and it appears on the map in the correct place.

They did upgrade on wind gauge as well. It's now 17.

Has anyone a clue what is new with main module 124 and wind gauge 17?

How long does it usually take before devices are updated after a firmware release? I'm still on 119 and 14 respectively. Also, its my understanding from support that the wind gauge firmware upgrade corrects a problem with a constant will speed and direction even though the gauge is sitting indoors.. I'm sure there are other fixs/updates as well but I've been waiting on this one.

I have manually updated my base station to 124 but the wind gauge and outdoor module have not updated? Still 14 and 43 respectively.

All sorted now. Obviously did it overnight. Still not seen that fabled 0 mph on the wind gauge though even though it's dead calm outside.
