Winter is coming......

Post by GEORGzer » 21 Sep 2014, 00:10

.....soooooo how about the rain gauge?
It obviously won't work with snow/ice but will it get damaged, if I leave it out there?
Or do you HAVE TO put it away over the freezing time period?

Would be interesting to know, specially if the upcoming winter will be like the last one, with most of the time above 0°C.

I am interested in knowing this too, I know if it snows, that sucker will freeze over and fail.

I don't understand why a representative of Netatmo does not address this question, I have been unable to find a definitive answer anywhere.

I am going to play it safe and bring mine in until the Spring and recalibrate.

We recommend not to let the rain gauge outside by very low temperatures (refer to the FAQ from your mobile or web application).

For info, you can also read this article: http://www.aragonvalley.com/en/mechanic ... il-impact/
