Blow sound

Post by Steph » 17 Nov 2012, 00:26

About once every minute my indoor station makes a sound like if someone is blowing over a table/spraying a deodoraant.

What makes this sound? The data only gets updated once every 5 minutes, and even then the CO2 easure should be with light.

Hi steph,

I'm just a user, but I had the same problem when I used the weatherstation the first time. I downloaded the desktop tool and did a firmware upgrade to 57. this did not stop the sound!! So I asked the customer service. They told me that the "noise" will disappeare after 24 hours of using. The next morning the strange "noise" was gone. Since then the noise never came back... :D
They did not tell me where the noise was comming from. But I think it comes from the CO2 sensor calibration.

Have fun with your weatherstation!

Cheers
Bartman

This is reassuring. I've got my station today and hear this sound, too.

I reported this to support and since then the Station doesn't make this sound anymore, without a change on the firmware version.

It should be related to the indoor air quality monitor, however I didn't have the chance to ask how exactly and if the quality of data is less without this noise.

My Indoor Station also started today with that sound, before it was fine. Tried to unplug it 2-3 mins from power supply, but the sound came instantly back.
Every minute or so you can hear this sound. Does someone know what's the problem? Support?

Hello,

on my Station, the Blowsound comes back this Morning. The calibration is made more than once?

For me it never stopped.

If there is an explanation and sense for that I could live with it.
But not if this is just noise.

Same issue here. We had a power outage during the night and then the sounds started again.
