Annoying Sound in the live view

Post by Draw »

Hi there,

my netatmo doorbell works fine except of one thing:
Every time I’m opening the live view or a recording there is an annoying sound, a kind of beeping. It sounds a little bit like a constant morse code.

Anyone an idea what it may be?

Best regards

I’ve found the same thing, although it only seems to be evident in live video. I haven’t noticed it on recordings.

Same, for me not a beeping sound but some static or background noise constantly there. Checking recorded videos the noise is not there. Happening both in Netatmo app and HomeKit.

I guess it is not powerful enough to filter audio live.

I have the exact same thing, sounds like crickets chirping to me but it’s constant and really annoying when watching the live view.

I suspect that when it’s quiet, the gain on the microphone is ramped all the way up and the noise you can hear is the autofocus mechanism of the camera.

There is no "autofocus mechanism" in this Video Doorbell. I'm afraid, the sound is more likely the result of poor hardware design, a shielding issue where some component spreads noise to other circuits.
