audio and video quality/bitrates

Post by jmjlai »

When comparing the audio and video quality to the outdoor camera, the doorbell's video is noticeably worse for both live and downloaded videos.
The camera claims a 1080p sensor, which i'm not disputing, but the bitrates could be noticeably higher.
The doorbell also has this sound of a rattling tin can in the background.
What is the limiting factor here? 8VA power requirement? SD card speed?
UPDATE: I've compared the audio and video bitrates from the doorbell and outdoor camera. The video bitrate is comparable, about 2Mbps, and the audio bitrate is slightly worse for the doorbell. They might explain why the audio quality is worse on the doorbell, but the difference in bitrate isn't huge. It doesn't explain why the video on the doorbell seems worse.
