Netatmo Doorbell can’t handle even regular temperatures
Netatmo Doorbell can’t handle even regular temperatures
Even though in tech specs (https://www.netatmo.com/en-eu/security/ ... ifications) it says that the doorbell should work with temperatures up to 40 °C, and considering that in Vienna, Austria it hasn’t been more than 35 °C this summer, my Netatmo Doorbell keeps shutting down and in the event log it mentions: “Doorbell: Temperature protection enabled” and “Doorbell disconnected”. It even did this yesterday morning when it was ~23 °C!
Re: Netatmo Doorbell can’t handle even regular temperatures
Two possible reasons I can imagine: 1) A faulty temp sensor in the Vidoe Doorbell or 2) is the Doorbell exposed to sunlight? The air temp might be lower, but direct sunlight heats up the surface of eny object over time.
One of my two Netatmo Video Doorbells is in direct sunlight in the late afternoon - no problems there, but this is a time where the sun is not "burning" anymore.
