Wiring to Vulcano Lifestar Connect

Post by mmartins »

Hello everyone,

I have a brand new gas boiler: Vulcano Lifestar Connect and I can't figure out if the netatmo thermostat will work or not on it.

These are the pictures from the electronic wiring of the boiler:

Do you think it will work?

Thank you very much!

Should work.
Black and Grey wires of the Netatmo Relais to the blue terminals (polarity not important, bridge wire has to be removed).
Brown and Black wired need to be added to the power source.

This boiler also has a BUS connector and may support the OpenTherm standard. In that case you could also purchase the Smart Modulating Thermostat.

But you need to share the exact model of your boiler for that.

No mentioning of OpenTherm, I would go with the analog Netatmo Thermostat 👍

Alright! Is there any advantage to use the smart modulation one?

Thank you

You can control different functions of your boiler and get data feedback.
But the boiler has to support the OpenTherm standard to be compatible and I wasn‘t able to confirm that with yours.
You could post in the Smart Modulating Thermostat section of the forum or contact Netatmo support if you have questions about this.

I have the same board.. the problem is that i cant remove the brown and black from the board to put the 4 wires (2 from Netatmo e 2 from Boiler), so, can i use an external power source and add the Brown and Black wires? thanks

You can use an external source, or mount a power-plug.
But it has to be the brown and blue wires from the Netatmo Relais, not brown and black.

You can also use terminals to „split“ the boiler‘s power supply wires.
