Connecting to a Glow worm 24CX

Post by johnrustywell »

Hi
I am looking to replace an existing room thermostat with a Netatmo. The existing thermostat is a "climastat" and has 2 wires going into it.
I thought I simply had to undo the two wires and replace with the Netatmo thermostat.
I did this but when I turned it back on I got an error F15 on the boiler which seems to mean "“eBus Voltage Failure. Note – The eBus electrical connection is for Glow Worm Heating Controls ONLY’ – Possible causes are – 3rd Party (Non Glow Worm) Heating Controls connected to the ebus connections on the appliance."
Am I trying to connect this to a 24v circuit and need to rewire it to the 240v supply ?
If so what should I do with the existing 2 wires, connect them or leave them apart ?
The connects on the boiler are :-
N
L
Earth
R (switch live 240v)
F (frost stat)
0V (low voltage demand / ebus)
24V low voltage demand
EBUS (data bus for approved GW accessories)
OTC1 (outdoor accessories 1)
OTC2 (outdoor accessories 2)

I would appreciate if you could advise me how to wire this in ?

Many thanks John

Hi John, I moved your topic over here.
The Netatmo Thermostat is not eBus compatible.

Try the following:
Relais‘ blue wire to N, black and brown wire to „L“ and grey wire to „R“.
Home: Weather Station (V3 + Rain & Wind Gauge, 3 additional Indoor Modules, Shield), Valves Starter Pack + 7 Valves, Video Doorbell
Office: Thermostat (V2), Healthy Home Coach, Smoke Alarm, 2 2in1 Sensors

Not a Netatmo employee
