VAILLANT VMI ES 32/ 362-7

Post by Raul.morata »

Hi team

I need your help in order to install my netatmo thermostats in wifi mode. Actually I have a VAILLANT thermostat connected to pins 3,4. Now, my netatmo relay has 4 wires ; two for supply 220v and two for signal. My question is, I need to connect signal wires replacing my old wires and nothing matter in the main board? I mean, when I connect all wires, including relay 220v, doesn’t apply voltage in the board and damage it? Signal wires never, never will apply voltage? I spoken with VAILLANT support and we commented about this, but netatmo support never replied my question

Vaillant model: VMI ES 32/ 362-7

Attached you can find actual conection with VAILLANT thermostat

Please, could you help me on this?

Sorry, I missed your topic since you didn‘t post in the „wiring“ section of the forum.

The black and grey wires of the Netatmo Relais never carry any voltage. Only the contact between those two gets closed.

Try the following:

Turn off the power.
Detach the old wired from 3 and 4 and isolate them. Your current thermostat will be put of service after that.
Connect the Netatmo Relais‘ black and grey wires to 3 and 4, polarity doesn’t matter.
Add the Relais‘ brown and blue wires to the terminals marked „L“ and „N“ next to it, matching the colors.
Switch the power back on and the setup should be complete.

But you had to set the Netatmo system up at one point, connecting it to your local wifi and so on.
Or do you just use the physical Thermostat manually without any schedule?
