Junkers ZSE 24 - 4 MFX with thermostat TR 200

Post by Kadafi »

Hi

I have Junkers ZSE 24 with Thermostat on wall TR 200. I know there are three cables going from boiler to the wall thermostat TR 200.
I want to replace the wall thermostat with Netatmo.
SO.....
Does it mean I should focus only on Cable marked by me B ( i assumed that is going to thermostat)
Remove jumper from LS/LR
Remove all three wires from cable B current connection (LS/NS/ground) and take 2 wires and connect them with LS/LR
But what do I do with cable A - do not touch the wires connected to L/N

That is an odd installation you have there, jumper and cable 🤔
I assume something eles is powered there with the low voltage that is meant to be for the thermostat. But since the bridge is still in place, it can‘t be one.

Anyway, correct way would be to remove the bridge, determinate the cable that is going to the current thermostat, pick 2 wires and connect them to LS/LR on the boiler‘s side and on the other side to the two terminals of the Netatmo Thermostat‘s mounting plate.
Set the boiler to the desired temperature and the Thermostat will switch it on/off as needed.

Try to figure out there that cable connected to NS/LS goes first. Would be interesting to know.

Also a bit further on the right should be a grey terminal marked 1-9. That‘s where the TR 200 is actually supposed to be connected to.
Maybe you could share a photo of that terminal as well.

Ok, the wires connected to the terminals „1“, „2“ and „3“ should be the ones going to the TR 200.

No clue where your „B“ cable goes to 🤷‍♂️
„A“ is your main power supply.

The cable B is going inside the wall.
Then it means I should take 1,2 remove the jumper and connect to LS/LR correct?
I have wife and three kids - might not survive breaking Junkers when started to be cold;)

I would do the following:

Disconnect the wires of the terminal 1-3. Remove the TR 200, there should be the same 3 wires there.
Pick 2, I‘d suggest the brown and blue wires.

Connect them as described above to the LS/LR terminals and the Netatmo Thermostat.
Just leave the wires of the mysterious cable as they are, meaning you have to add a second one to the LS terminal.

You can always go back to the current installation if you run into a problem.
Good luck 👍
