There should be a trigger event for automations when the doorbell button was pressed.
Possible applications:
- Turn on lights (for visual notification)
- Play a sound on e.g. Apple Homepod (just learned this is a feature of iOS 14)
- Turn off music in living room
Thanks!

Consider me surprised that this feature is not implemented yet? Is it due to any limitation from Apple?

I did not fully test it yet, but I think you should have a look on the eve. iOS app...
In the automation rule creation process the doorbell button push trigger seems to be available.

Yes it works in the EVE app. I programmed that when someone rings the doorbell, a lamp turns purple and my HomePod plays a doorbell sound (I created a playlist on Apple Music with one doorbell song in fact). Works great.
Next: when we open the door, light and bell sound are stopped via an eve door trigger. Works great. It also stops automatically after a minute.
