Byron 776 insufficient power source

Post by g8mb1t »

Yesterday I've tried to install the smart doorbell, however I keep on getting a low power message. I have followed the instructions on netatmo help,
but clearly some thing is not adding up

Hi, take look here: https://helpcenter.netatmo.com/fr/sonne ... e-carillon there are some pictures to help you with the wiring. If it's still not working after having changed the wires, try reseting the doorbell: https://helpcenter.netatmo.com/en-us/sm ... o-doorbell

I have the same problem as you but with another chime, I posted here: https://forum.netatmo.com/viewtopic.php?f=197&t=18900 (edit: I fixed the problem by using a 12V 2A power source)

Merry Xmas!

Thanks let me try and see if I can get the Byron 776 working, it’s listed as supported. I’ve done the wiring according to netatmo but still have issues once the setup completes leading me to believe I need to set the chime module to low -2 but not sure.

Also not sure where to get the right 12v 2amp here in the uk as most chimes and transformers are all 8v 1amp.

I have the same Byron 776. I attempted to install the netatmo doorbell following the instructions. When I turned the power back on the chime is audibly vibrating continuously and there is no LED light at all ok the doorbell. I have disconnected the doorbell for now whilst I wait for Netatmo Support to reply as I have raised a ticket via the Netatmo help centre. The fuse has not flown as the LED lights up fine when connected to a computer.

Issue resolved, wires in the wire connector were not securely connected, all working now.
