Doorbell not working on 8v or 12v

Post by gertjan@darwinkel.com »

Hi,

My name is Gert-Jan and I have troubles with my doorbell since the beginning of December.
I was using an old 8V with 0,5 Amp tranformator, but it works for almost a year on this power supply. Then at some point it goes off an on and after a while it only shows a blinking Purple LED. So I thought the power supply wasn't strong enough anymore. So I have bought a new one (8V with 1 Amp from ABB -> ABB TS8/8 SWH ES), but it still doesn't work.

After contacting support (witch took 2 weeks before I got any feedback).
After some mailing I've got a new chime module, but this also doesn't work, still a purple blinking LED. (Chime module is on 2-LOW)

They also have asked me to use a 12V power supply. I have bought again a new power supply with 12V on it (Navaris with 8VA: 8V/1A; 12V/0.67A; 24V/0.33A | Standby power: 1.15W.)
Now it starts, and all LEDS are off.. but is is online in the app and it detects movement and I can push the button en my ringer (old tringgggggggg ringer).

BUT..... in the app it says; Video is not available. Insufficient power supply.
What!? Why!??

I believe Netatmo Support doesn't know also what to do. But I have a not working setup while I meet all minimum requirements.

Please see the attachements for photo's from my wiring (test) setup and the 2 new power supplies.

Please, does someone have a solution?

Remove the chime/ringer and test again.

P.S. Sorry, didn't notice how old this post is.
