Temperature Overshoot

Post by Nick481 » 11 Nov 2018, 18:55

Hi, When the target temperature changes I always get an overshoot. It maintains a constant temperature really well but overshoots every morning.

Is there anything that can be done?

Hi Nick,

1) Has your Heating prediction duration been "Optimised"?
Without Optimisation, it could be early or late and maybe overshoot.

2) Is your Thermostat in Hysteresis mode or PID?
PID is essential for accurate temperature control.

3) What temperature is your Boiler set at?
If it's up high, you can get too much heat in the radiators which can cause overshooting.

4) Have you got a Weather Station with an external Sensor?
My control accuracy improved, when I started using my own sensor.
