Porcentage - Heating

Post by yamane »

Hi,

As I understood, the BAR Graph attached means the power of the boiler.
The relay have only 2 wires, that is just a SWITCH.
How it calculate the POWER (75%, 50%)?

Thanks,
Renato

It's just the time ratio the contactor is ON on a given time (1 hour ?).

50% : the contactor is ON 30 minutes on 1 hour.

It doesn't, it only displays how long the boiler has been turned on but it is not able to determine how much energy your boiler is consuming. Let's say you are only heating one room but your boiler is on for the whole day because you have low temperature radiators (the water in your system is heated to 30-50 degrees instead of 60-80, they run for longer but at a much lower consumption rate)... it will display 100% for the day even though your consumption could be much lower than a house that is heating the whole house at regular water temperatures.

It's not a perfect system, consider it as a way to see how long your boiler has been working but not how much it has been consuming.
