Removing thermostat from wall

Post by Electricpomme »

Hi my netatmo smart stat was installed on the wall by an electrician while i was at work. It leaves a horrible looking gap so i would have preferred the trim provided. Cant get the thermostat off from wall plate there are no screws and it seems i would need to force it off and damage it meaning i would have to buy another. Also will need to change the battery in the future. Hiw can i do this if the stat wont come off.

Hello Electricpomme.

The first time I had to change the batteries I was so scared that I asked the support how to do it without risking to damage the thermostat. They sent me a cut from a video showing that you have just to pull gently till it detaches, nothing more. I know it can be scary but it's how it's done. Of course I'm talking about the square part with numbers and colored profile, not the entire wall mount!
