You can define how many minute your boiler should run at least, so the algorithm won‘t do like 2min burns but instead will take this setting into account and wait. If you set 10min for example, your boiler won‘t start unless it can run 10min straight to reach the set temperature.

Depends on your boiler type and temperature settings, I'd say. If you have the feeling that your boiler starts too often you can increase the time.

So I increase the time and it starts less? Sorry if this is a dumb question

As far as I understand yes.
Say you set 10min then your boiler should only start when it can run 10min straight to reach the set temperature. Which may cause the place to cool down more before heating kicks back in again.

Just try it out, nothing to loose there as you can change it back any time.

I have my thermostat set at 23 degrees. It usually drops to 22.8 before kicking in. So if I time the point between 22.8 and 22.7 then set it at the time it takes between them two points is that the time I set? I am thinking there is no point letting it kick in as soon as it hits 22.8. I hope you understand what I mean.

You're overthinking this a little bit. And making changes with 0.1° steps also won't make much difference.
If you want your boiler to run less often but longer because of maintenance reasons for example, then you increase the time.
But changing this parameter won't really save energy in the end and that's also not the point.

That's another thing I have not received any monthly email from natatmo. The reason I bought it was partly because it delivers a monthly report.

Assuming you're talking about the Energy Saving Report, maybe this will help. If you have any more questions about this, you can contact support directly there as well.
