Thermostat inertia

Post by Gun68 »

Does anyone know where the temperature sensor is mounted inside the Netatmo thermostat?
I have noticed that the inertia with which the thermostat detects temperature changes is very high.
I would like to try to drill the casing in order to improve the air flow.
Thanks

Did you find any solution? I have same question. Where is sensor located? Thermostat reacts very slowly to temperature changes. It needs some improvement

I have found some internal pictures of thermostat on Federal Communications Commission pages.

but where is sensor? :)

I can see nothing that looks like a conventional temperature sensor. I suspect they are using the thermal sensor in one of the chips, given its low power consumption there would be no heat generation onboard.

I purchased the Netatmo because of its low hysteresis and inertia, I have workarounds to change the temperature set points on a regular basis if its to solve particular problems if its any use?
