Flat batteries mean no heating?

Post by Hinata »

Hi
I am thinking of installing the Netatmo thermostat in my mother's house. She is sometimes a little forgetful and I am concerned that if the batteries in the thermostat go flat and she doesn't have a spare set to hand, then she would have no heating in her house.

The thermostat would be wireless, sitting on a table in her living room, where she spends most of her time.

Is my assumption correct - if batteries go flat then heating is lost? Or is there a way of manually turning the boiler on?

Thanks.
