Did you resolved this? I gave advice concerning it.Mida wrote: ↑19 Nov 2020, 01:24Hello,
on Sunday 15.11. I installed this controller and yesterday (November 17) I received a notification that I have an available PID heating mode. I accidentally clicked "Not now" instead of "Activate."

Will I ever see this message again? You do not know what all the items for become available when clicking on "Activate"?
Thank you in advance for your answers,

Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computation
try to explain the problem: as many users, my PID doesn't work. It works like a bad hysteresis with complete loss of comfort. It's like a yoyo with a big oscillation in the room temperature.
I've three thermostats in my house and several valves. The first is at the 1st floor, with 4 valves. The thermostat id is j102cc6 firmware 73 and the relè id is g1005e2 with firmware 216. Same situation at the second floor with the thermostat and 4 valves. Thermostat id is j308f24 firmware 73 and relè g30c088 firmware 216. The third floor only has a thermostat (it's an open space) with thermostat j0d93a8 firmware 72 and relè g0d71ec firmware 210.
I read on the french section of netatmo forum that some users have got a new firmware for thermostat and relè respectively firmware 75 and firmware 222 that make PID again functionally.
I ask, if possible, to push in my product this new firmware, because the winter is knocking at the door and I need that PID working well for my comfort and because I bought several of this product for a better life.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.
Best regards.
Fabrizio

Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computation
Please upgrade:
j1e9e10 relè g1ebbf8
j104a40 relè g104af4
j104c2a relè g10332c
to date all 3 thermostats are stopped at fw 72 with relè 210, with a totally ineffective advanced algorithm.

I have the same problem... inefficient algorithm with fw 72 / 210
Please upgrade:

Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computation
I've also had problems with the advanced algorithm. It's frustrating as I live in an old house and see large swings with the hysteresis option.
It's so poor I've actually tried a program of firing the boiler every half hour for a few minutes to try to reduce the swings.
Would you please upgrade the firmware to the relay 222 and thermostat 75
Relay is g0aae30
Thermostat is g0a99f4

Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computation
Same seems to apply here. Considering how late the thermostat cuts off on large setpoint changes, it seems like the PID is oscillating. It certainly would help if the settings say whether it's still training the PID or whether it is active.
Relay: g3e05be
Thermostat: j3dd022
--edit: First post says it adapts during cold periods only. Which temperatures are considered cold, given the mild winter up until this weekend?

Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computation
Hi,
It is not necessary to indicate whether the Thermostat is still learning or not, as it is permanently analyzing the home conditions. I've also clarified what "cold periods" was supposed to describe (I hope everything is clear now
).
Thanks!

Re: Advanced algorithms (PID and Heating Prediction) computation
Hi,
I have three Thermostats in my house. One of them, running on fw 73 / 216, controls radiators (with Smart Valves) and PID has been working fine this and previous winter.
The other two are running fw 72 / 210 and control underfloor heating circuits in the kitchen and bathroom show the heating algorithm as "Advanced", however, cut in only 30 mins before the set heating time. Could you please update the firmware.
Thermostat 1: j57007c / Relay: g570478
Thermostat 2: j5de8e2 / Relay: g5da608
Thermostat 3: j5dc056 / Relay: g5d9ae4
Many thanks
