"potential-free contact" - what is it please?

Post by adgcz »

Hello,

I have been advised that the Netatmo thermostat is only compatible with my boiler if it has a "potential-free contact", can anybody explain what this actually is and if the Netatmo thermostat has it?

Thanks,

Yes you can use this thermostat, potential-free contact is just a powerless contact.

It could be the thin black U connection.

Try to remove this and se if the boiler is stopping.
