What voltage should we see on the control cables

Post by johnswhitehead » 25 Oct 2017, 20:52

Hi

I've got everything set up including the app. When I adjust the desired temperature in the app it's reflected on the thermostat and the app says boiler On. However, the boiler stays off and there is apparently no voltage coming from the relay into the black and grey cables. We know the boiler is functioning OK because it's heating the hot water.

Another oddity, which may or may not be significant is the thermostat's reporting of the current temperature. It's telling us that it's currently 22.5° whereas another thermometer right next to it is reporting 19°— a more plausible figure as it feels chilly and 22.5° is way over what we usually target.

Does this indicate a faulty thermostat unit?

Thanks in advance

Don't worry about replying to this. I've returned the unit as faulty and will try another brand — one that embraces the concept of customer service, I hope.
