Indoor camera image is now pink/purple

Post by tony_P »

On 21st April my indoor camera was fine.
On 22nd April the image was pink/purple. Later that day I had a firmware update to 481. Image still pink purple.
Image on phone app is accompanied by the sound a tractor (best I can describe).
Google search suggested IR filter stuck. Covered light sensor and got standard black and white image. Uncovered got purple image. Covered and uncovered again and got correct daylight cover, but still tractor sound in app.
Finally, found that by covering and uncovering the sensor sometimes I hear the usual transition click and image changes correctly, other times no click and no change. Tractor sound always present.
Update....After several days the problem has resolved itself.

The pink/purple image is caused if the IR night vision filter gets stuck. Lucky for you if it is resolved - mine is permanently stuck.

I have the same problem, regardless of the IR Night vision settings, the image is always pink. It has 5.12.0 firmware, I have a second, much older model with 5.14.0 firmware and never had this problem there. Is there a solution to a pink image? Is a disposal camera?
