Data storage during power outage

Post by mifo »

Is the data measured during a power failure lost forever?

The main unit is powered by the grid, so it won‘t work during a power outage.
Home: Weather Station (V3 + Rain & Wind Gauge, 3 additional Indoor Modules, Shield), Valves Starter Pack + 7 Valves, Video Doorbell
Office: Thermostat (V2), Healthy Home Coach, Smoke Alarm, 2 2in1 Sensors

Hi,
If this is a big concern, why not consider a small UPS?
I have my old station in my technical room. I already have a small UPS for my home NAS and a tiny server. Connected the Stations power supply to the UPS as well.

Anyways. This could easily be tested. Unplug your station for 30 minutes. Replug it and observe...

As far as I know, the additional modules don’t store any data.
The main station stores data if the internet cuts out, but this system is not suited for locations with frequent power outages if uninterrupted measurements are required.
