Notifications Bug in iOS on iPad?

Is there a bug in the iOS app for iPad where notifications are not sent in most cases? Am running iOS 10.2.1 (14D27) on my iPad and the latest version of the Security app. And still running iOS 9 on my iPhone 4s. This morning so far have had 4+ clips recorded and they all received notifications on my iPhone. But only got one notification on my iPad. This has been happening for awhile now. Was hoping FW87 would fix it. It has not.

Have been through all the Notifications settings multiple times to make sure they're set correctly. They are. Have been using both the iPhone and iPad since the original versions of each so am not a novice at this.

UPDATE: This is irrelevant because FW87 is still so pathetic at identifying the difference between animals and people that I once again have all notifications disabled. https://forum.netatmo.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7905

You have to stop complaining all the time.
YES we know you have problems.

I have with other apps, learned that you sometime need to uninstall the app and then reinstall, to get push working correctly for that app on that ipad/iphone.
Try that out.

Thanks, your suggestion is much appreciated. No need to do as you suggested, as notifications will remain disabled as long as Presence continues to get it wrong in terms of mistaking animals for people. And I see no reason to believe Netatmo will get it right if they haven't by now..

The good news is I won't be reporting about my problems here anymore. The only reason I would have to post here again would be to report good news. No sense in beating a dead horse.

:D
motion detection and face recognition is very hard stuff.
My old cameras detection was totally useless.
getting the recognition correct can take much more time, it is not that simple.

I have tryed getting recognition trough a PC app instead connected to my old cameras, instead of there builtin detection. But still, now even as good as Netatmo.
The CPU usage on the PC was 100 times more than can be in that camera.

You make a very good point about getting recognition correct taking time. The kind of time Netatmo should have taken perfecting it prior to releasing this product. It wasn't sold as something the customer could have a good time with helping them develop. It was sold as a finished product capable of telling the difference between animals and people. No reasonable person would expect it to be perfect at that. If you read my Amazon.com review, you'll see I didn't either.

Think I've figured out what is going on and why notifications seem to be hit-and-miss. As far as I can tell, if the app is open you won't receive a notification. And it doesn't need to be the foreground app. It can merely be open in the background.

Was wondering why my iPhone was consistently getting notifications. It's because I never have the app open on my iPhone. Use my iPad for the Security app. If I opened the Security app on my phone and quit it on the iPad, I'd get notified on the iPad and not the phone.

Now this is a problem because I think we've all had multiple apps open and not paid any attention to those in the background — or even completely forgotten they're open. And even if the Security app is the foremost open app, it doesn't mean it's actively being monitored. So it appears there's a potential big hole in the ability to reliably receive notifications.

Can anyone else confirm the lack of notifications with an open Security app on iOS devices?
