Rate Limit?

Post by ejain » 30 Oct 2013, 21:49

Does the Netatmo API have an official rate limit (e.g. max 500 requests per hour per token or per application)?

So what is the default rate limit? I haven't reached the limit so far, and can probably throttle my requests to avoid hitting the limit.

I have the same problem with indigo netatmo plugin. The docs seem sparse. What is the default usage limit for the API?

Hello Brian,

The default rate limitation is :
Application level : 200 API requests per 10 seconds, 2000 per hour
User Level : 50 API requests per 10 seconds, 500 per hour.

How many users are using your application ?
Regards,
Thomas Rosenblatt, Netatmo Team.

Please let this limitation. It is utter nonsense. You limiting ourselves to use the internet and then restrict the access. The Netatmo plugin for E2 boxes is now unusable. Please think of the users.

@trosenblatt
2000 requeests per hour is faar too little!!!

I developed a application for STB (Set-Top-Box) and the default update time is 10 minutes!
All users get more and more the HTTP Error 403: Forbidden.

Please remove this limitation!

I'm a user of the STB Plugin from cmikula. This is very disappointing for the last two days. More and more "Error". Please remove the limitations
