Rain unit in API

Post by ianatkin » 02 Aug 2016, 21:58

Hi there

The support page for the weather station API does not give any details for rain. Can someone please explain which units are used (mm, cm, inch) and what data is returned?

Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,

The unit and the data returned are actually explained in the getstationsdata page, in the "Return Parameters" section, under "dashboard_data".

Rain is measured in mm.
sum_rain_1 is the rain measured for the last hour (mm)
sum_rain_24 is the rain measured for the last 24 hours (mm)

I hope this helps ;)

Regarding rain values, in the iOS Netatmo app, there is a Rain Gauge value displayed called FORECAST (Rain forecast for Today). I am unable to locate this value in the json package. Do you know where it is sourced from and if it is available?

Thanks!!

Hi there,

Forecast data are calculated by a partner, that is why we don't share them via our API.
