Access single public station

Post by berkinet » 28 Aug 2017, 11:34

Does anyone know if it is possible to access the data from a single weather station (a station you do not own)? This might be via the API or web scraping. For example, on the Netatmo Weather Map I can click on any arbitrary station and see it's data. Using the API with Getpublicdata I have to define an area that includes the target station, then in my own code, filter for the one station I want. There must be a more direct way.

Any ideas (or code!!) appreciated.

A couple of years later I had the same issue.

The is an undocumented API endpoint that the weather map uses called getpublicmeasure. Just provide the device_id and your access_token to that and you'll get the data you're after.

Hope this helps somebody else in the future
