Dear all,
I have 6 new radiators - old school cast iron radiators that looks like this:
I have 6 radiator valves from netatmo.
They are not installed at the moment, waiting for the plumber.
Now I have to decide which internal thermostatic valve to use.
- As this is a completely new installation, could you please advise me which model would be the best?
- Some danfoss model, or something esle?
- Is it better to use threaded connection or click on connection of netatmo valve to radiator?
- can you also advise where to position the netatmo radiator valve on the radiator as there are more options like, see picture attached.
Hope that I described my issue well, if not please ask.
Thank you very much in advance.
Which internal valve mechanism to choose for new radiators
Re: Which internal valve mechanism to choose for new radiato
As no one is answering, I can provide some info - maybe it will be useful for others in the future.
I will probably choose Danfoss RA-N 15 valves to go with netatmo.
I am attaching some real life pictures regarding netatmo valve positioning: you can also see my mockup of planned piping

Re: Which internal valve mechanism to choose for new radiato
If i remember correctly, then netatmo does not recommend positioning on top or bottom of the pipe, everything else should be just fine.

do you have a link to that recommendation? I tried to search for that but did not find anything on their site.
