thermostat in room without valve

Post by lottware » 05 Nov 2019, 15:01

Hello,
I have a thermostat (connected to the boiler cables) and 7 thermostatic valves installed in the 7 radiators of the house.
The thermostat is in a room (and in a virtual room) without radiators and valves.
What happens if the thermostat detects a lower temperature in his room and at the same time all other valves detect a temperature that does not require heating to be switched on?

Example:
Thermostat room: 18° / 19 scheduled
Valve Room 1: 20° / 19 scheduled
Valve Room 2: 19° / 19 scheduled

I hope I explained myself correctly

C.

Hi Lottware,

If I understand well your setup, if the thermostat alone in the virtual room drop below the consigne like in your exemple, that will turn on the heating.
But as all your valves will be close, I think the circulator of your heater will have a little problem as the water can't circulate.

with your configuration I would highly recommend to set the system in Comfort mode, so your valves will be able to turn on/off heating; then put thermostat setpoint to a very low temperature

Exactly.
But the Netatmo system should know it is in this condition, isn't it?
In my case the thermostat commands the boiler on / off so I can't move it to another room.

Yes, i am already in "Comfort Mode" - i can't understand if the system, knowing my configuration, turns on the thermostat always leaving at least one valve open. I don't know if I can explain myself

inoltre : But the Netatmo system should know it is in this condition, isn't it? no! potrebbe anche essere che nella stanza del termostato ci sia un termosifone senza valvola.
In my case the thermostat commands the boiler on / off so I can't move it to another room. non è chiaro perché dici così. il relè da l'impulso alla caldaia( dietro comando del termostato o delle valvole) il termostato lo puoi spostare dove vuoi. è il relè che deve stare dove può essere cablato alla caldaia
