Come gestire la zona notte

Post by deadoc33 »

Buonasera

I assume your 2 Thermostats are already installed and each on controls a boiler or another heating source for that level.

To control all rooms in your home individually:
You equip all radiators with valves.
You assign valves and thermostats to the correct rooms in the app.
You choose „comfort mode“ so valves can „request heat“ an start the boiler.

When a room/valve requests heat, the boiler will start and only that room will be heated.
If a Thermostat and valves are in the same room and correctly assigned to the same room in the app, the Thermostat will act as an central control panel for that room and it will be synched with the valves in that room.

Grazie ancora

I understand (what google translate feeds my anyway :P ).

Let's say you have one valve in the bathroom and the thermostat in the bedroom with no Netatmo valves.
If you set the thermostat to "heat", the bathroom valve will stay closed and only the bedroom will be heated.
If you set the bathroom valve to "heat", the boiler will also start until the bath reaches the set temperature. But the radiators in the bedroom will also get warm because they can't be closed off remotely.

You sure can combine manual and automatic valves with the thermostat, but you will have to adjust manually every time you want to heat a room without Netatmo valves.

perfetto, ora ho capito...
Se invece in una camera lascio il termostato a max 19, in una camera una valvola a 19 e nel bagno la valvola a 22?

If you set the system to "comfort mode", the Thermostat basically acts like a valve so the Thermostat and the Relais operate separately.
If either one of the valves or the Thermostat "request heat", the boiler will start.

quindi se ho capito bene potrebbe bastare che ne compri solo 2 di valvole?

If I understood correctly you have the bathroom, the bedroom and "the rest" of the sleeping area that is controlled by one thermostat.

If you put valves in the bathroom and the bedroom, you will be able to heat everything except those two rooms, because the valves will shut the radiators off. But if you heat either the bedroom or the bathroom or both, the rest of the sleeping area will always also be heated until all devices have reached the set temperatures.

Zona notte con 3 camere,
Ipotesi 1:
Camera 1, termostato e temperatura 19;
Camera 2, valvola e temperatura 19;
Bagno, valvola e temperatura 21;
Cosa succede?

Ipotesi 2
Camera 1, termostato + valvola manuale temperatura 19;
Camera 2, valvola manuale temperatura 19;
Bagno, valvola Netatmo temperatura 21;
Cosa succede?

It all depends which device triggers the boiler.
I hope this will clear up what happens when:

scenario 1:
room 1 (Netatmo Thermostat + Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
room 2 (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
bathroom (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 21°, actual room temperature <21°
the boiler will start because the bathroom is below the set-point and will stop as soon as the bath reaches 21°

scenario 2:
room 1 (Netatmo Thermostat + Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 21°, actual room temperature <21°
room 2 (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
bathroom (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
the boiler will start because room 1 is below the set-point and will stop as soon as room 1 reaches 21° while the Netatmo Valves in the other rooms stay closed.

scenario 3:
room 1 (Netatmo Thermostat + manual open valve on the radiator) set to 21°, actual room temperature <21°
room 2 (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
bathroom (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
the boiler will start because room 1 is below the set-point and will stop as soon as room 1 reaches 21° while the Netatmo Valves in the other rooms stay closed.

scenario 4:
room 1 (Netatmo Thermostat + manual open valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
room 2 (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 19°, actual room temperature ≥19°
bathroom (Netatmo Valve on the radiator) set to 21°, actual room temperature <21°
the boiler will start because the bathroom is below the set-point and will stop as soon as the bath reaches 21°, but room 1 will also be heated because the manual valve in that room will be open
