Thermostat and smart radiator valve in the same room

Post by whnagel » 04 Sep 2017, 19:59

i plan to install 1 of the 3 ordered radiator valves in the same room with the Netatmo thermostat already installed.
Because today if the old radiator valve is set to 1 and the thermostat calls the boiler for heat it makes no sense.

in this case the radiator valve should always set to the same temperature as the thermostat or vice versa.
Is the Thermostat Firmware able to sync thermostat temperature settings to and from the radiator valve? If not can i use IFTTT to make the sync?

....... and does the firmware sync if someone set the thermostat temperature manually
1. Zone1 R. 70:ee:50:24:17:6a (182) with Therm.(68) + 1 valve(61) in T-room + 2 rooms with 1 valve(61) each.
2. Zone2 R. 70:er:50:0b:2f:bc (182) with Therm.(68) and 2 valve(61) in T-room.

3. other house R. 70:ee:50:06:ec:42 (182) with Therm. (68)

I guess you do not need smart thermostat in that room anymore.

Hello,
All products af a same room are synced.
The Thermostat remains mandatory to control heating activation.
Please find more info here: https://www.netatmo.com/en-GB/product/energy/valves/faq

How does the thermostat know that he is in the same room?
I can not assign a room to the thermostat

If you have the latest energy app you have to assign a room, even if you have only a thermostat
