FEATURE REQUEST:Outdoor temperature also displayed on grafic

Post by neti » 10 Dec 2014, 13:38

It would be nice if i can also see the outdoor-temperature on the grafik

A blue line, which shows the temperature during day and night (on the right side with a temperature scale in blue)

this is only an example on how to add also the temperature function.

I think it ist an important function because the heating will be different depending on the outside temerature

Maybe it exist if you have the Netatmo Meteo Station.
I don't have this checkmark and I don't have the Meteo Station.

I have just installed the Thermostat alongside my existing Netatmo weather station. Initially (for a couple of hours) I did have the tick box to select 'show external temperature' but now it has disappeared.

Does anyone have any suggestions upon how to make the tick box reappear on the Thermostat Webapp page? Is there a setting I am missing somewhere? It is as if the Thermostat is now missing the fact that there is a full Netamo Weather station on the same account.

Many thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to help.

Hello,
Your Thermostat and your Station must be connected on the same Wi-Fi network, with the same IP address.
Currently, your two devices don't have the same IP, that's why the tick box is not displayed.

Hello,

Many thanks indeed for taking the time to respond.

I had totally missed that fact / requirement, as it is unusual (but not unheard of) to have two devices with different MAC addresses utilising the same IP address on the same subnet LAN. As there is a DHCP server on my network, it automatically assigned different IPs to each devices. I forced the two devices not to see the DHCP server and assigned static IPs through the Netatmo setup utilities, and you are indeed (of course :D ) correct. Outside temperature now showing on both the Webapp and the Android App.

Many thanks indeed for your attention and solution, and wishing Netatmo and all a Happy Christmas!
