direct access to netatmo devices

Post by frankiko »

Hi,
is it possible or planned to read the last value (temperature and humidity) directly from the devices?
This is something I need for my home automation system. And in this case this should be really reliable.

Hi fpotter,
could you please say anything about this request? Do you think that this something you can imagine in a next release?

Hi,

Next firmware : no. It's currently been validated so it's too late to add anything.

We have had a similar request with the "XPL" protocol. Would that fullfill your needs ?

Hi fred,

I have no experience with the XPL protocol. But it seems to be based on UDP messages.
I am limited in my home automation system but I think this should work. I will give it a try.
Thank you for considering.

+1: a direct (and local) access to the data would be great!

Any news on this?

Since part of my HomeAutomation system is not 'online', I can't integrate NetAtmo there yet... So this feature would be highly appreciated...

Hm, that's bad news... but thanks for the answer.

Btw: This would also solve lagging issues like I had in the past couple of days, where it took 20s++ (from app-launch) until the UI was updated.
